I never thought he was funny. Turns out he’s just an angry old liberal who lives in that totally out of touch liberal bubble.

It's a good thing Larry David is wealthy - because he's a moronic asshole. I guess he really is the narcissistic idiot he plays on TV.

There really needs to be a comedy show about people with TDS. Sasha you could write that. Maybe this Substack's commentariat could feed you ideas? How about starting with short episodes on Youtube? Common sense meets TDS....

He is an unabashed male Karen...and he knows it...and he owns it. Kostanza was not an anti-hero. (S)He was a Karen!

If you had not "triggered" Larry, he wouldn't have been able to leave. A Karen can not really exist without an honest original thinker to help her feel like a victim. The food wasn't going to cut it. He needed to feel morally superior.

He lost me completely when he "pissed on Christ" in a Curb episode. We are supposed to respect his Judaism, he can think it is funny to both "piss on Christ", and "eat the baby Jesus" from the manger display saying "I thought it was a cookie".

I did notice, goyim that I am, that 95% of the cast of Seinfeld was Jewish. Except for the Shiksa, I noticed they were always goy. The Jewish fantasy. As if half those girls would date Jerry in real life.

Where both Seinfeld and Curbed were concerned; goyim need not apply.

You permanently sound like a drunk at a bar. But at least they have to be inebriated to sound that stupid. Cold stone sober you sound like a cretin. none of this is about "HATING JEWS"...it's about the ZIONIST GOVERNMENT...and all jews should hate it too

Expand full comment
Nuance&context's avatar

Shut up you fool. Zionism is THE central tenet of Judaism which means that Israel is central to the practice of Judaism- it is the foundation and homeland and spiritual center of Judaism and has been for 4000 years. Zion means Jerusalem. It is in all our prayers and holidays. Every archeological dig proves Jews are Israel and Israel is the place of Jews. That is literally what Zionist means.

The Israeli govt is a zionist government because it believes in the right of Israel to exist.

I can guarantee you understand nothing of either Zionism or Judaism and like a good little jew hater, you naively believe in the coopted version of the word Zionist as anything and everything you hate. But that's just your stupidity talking. You hate to admit it, but you like the idea of the nazis. It appeals to your innate jew hate. But you've told yourself or others that its just Zionist hate. But you enjoy it-spreading this hate. Enacting it in words. There's a freedom you get from it. A kind of glee. You can lash out at a group whenever you need release. You can pai t this group any kind of 'bad' and play out your own genocidal fantasies in your mind about this group - and justify it because you've told yourself they deserve it.

You're quite a sick person. Antisemitism is an ancient and abiding sickness. You are nothing more than the evil that came before you that has justified the attempted annihilation of the Jewish people for millennia. But one day you'll be gone just like all the barbarian psychos before you. And the Jewish people will still be here.

If you think about it for a sec, the fictional Larry David of the HBO show is a lot like Trump. He speaks his mind, often without caring what others think and sometimes without considering the consequences; he gets in trouble because of that; he figures a way out of the trouble and somehow succeeds—sometimes hugely.

I can't get inside the real Larry David's head, but at some level I suspect that he sees a bit of himself in Trump—bombastic, opinionated, and hyper-aggressive when he feels he's been wronged (your scene in the deli).

Because he's an uber-progressive and therefore a fantasy thinker, his performative resemblance to Trump creates anger, cognitive dissonance, and aggressive behavior. He's got to prove (to himself and others) that he's different—hence, a ridiculous op-ed.

At the end of the day, Donald and Larry are kinda the same—only different.

Except that Trump actually likes other people and cares about them, visiting them in hospitals, helping people out financially, etc. Larry David is a complete narcissist. I doubt he has ever done anything for anyone. But he is honest about that, just like Trump is honest and self-aware of his own shortcomings: arrogance, nastiness with rivals. So they have that quality in common.

Your TDS is showing again. The problem with your statement is that the people who know Trump well says he does visit people in the hospital and doesn’t publicize it, but does let the public involved to photograph him for their own keepsake. Also, the people he has helped financially have publicly stated he did so intentionally and without the need to be recognized for it.

LOL!! THANK YOU for exposing a giant asshole for everyone to see. I have always liked David's humor, especially through Jerry Seinfeld. His own show was also funny, though showed who he really is, hidden behind a good laugh at his own unlikability. Don Rickles was like this. Lenny Bruce was as well. Now, with the full onset of TDS, David's diseased mind is failing him and he can no longer take Life's ironies and turn them into a laugh. His own reaction is one of those many ironies which should get a chuckle. I can see this in an SNL skit, if SNL hadn't also gotten the illness. These neurotic, sociopathic people, always on the fringe of good society due to their inherent rudeness, are capable of blowing up like this, especially late in life when mental infirmity, perhaps even Alzheimer's, sets in.
