I agree with you 100%. Tapper, Alex Whatshisname and Big Media utterly and completely discredited themselves . They have no moral authority.

The one thing he could have done was apologize to the American people. But he didn’t.

Neil Kellen's avatar

Apology is not enough on its own. They need to admit why they did it, without any excuses or obfuscation. "I hid what I knew to be true because I wanted to stop Trump from winning the election."

Libertarian's avatar

Exactly. It reminds me of the key elements of a Confession in the Catholic context; be sincerely sorry, be explicit in identifying the sin, ask for forgiveness, commit to not repeating the sin, do some penance.

Granny62's avatar

I agree- but my inadequately made point was that his ramblings didn’t even include that at all minimum. He still doesn’t seem to understand his obligation to the American people to be truthful.

Advocacy journalism has taken firm hold in America and it will take the firm resolve of consumers to reject it.

The press has the moral obligation to report the facts, no matter what public official it exposes. You clearly don’t actually read alternative media because they are overwhelmingly NOT sycophantic followers of any pol. That’s why they are succeeding where the likes if Tapper are not.

When have you ever spoken out about the hate whitey fanaticism of your hate whitey Democratic Party? Biden used to like to talk about how white racism, aka “systemic racism” is always everywhere at all times in AmeriKKKa and that blacks should always vote for Woke white leftists since they’re the good whites fighting the bad whites who support the racist fascist Trump. You people are insane. Are you proud of the damage you’ve done to America?

WHY does everyone continue to engage in discourse with this progressive lunatic far leftist demon? Continue to ignore and he'll fade away.

I just listened to this again and after doing so, I think this interview could be pivotal in getting these autopen-signed blanket pardons dismissed as well as other things too. Tapper describes cabinet members didn’t have access and that they would brief WH aides then those aides “related” the conversations to POTUS.

Powerfully damning testimony.

The best segment was with Batya who said none of this would have happened if we had a functioning media that had respect for the American people. That is the key point and applies to many issues.

Agree. Also her point that they're all in the same club of elites and that they're wired to protect all members of the club.

It's telling that Tapper talks about the "bad" Joe Biden and the "good" Joe Biden who was "serviceable". There hasn't been a really "good" Joe Biden for quite some time. There has always only been a Biden who was serviceable. A Joe Biden who did as he was told. A Joe Biden who was useful to those who were really in charge, whoever they were.

It is still amazing to me that we still don't know who was actually calling the shots in the White House.

Andrew Collins's avatar

Biden first came on my radar during the Clarence Thomas hearings. He has always been a nasty slimeball.

Sally DiMartino's avatar

Totally agree - I've watched some you tubes from his past, and he's always been a bloviating, egotistical jerk who always wanted the job of being president but didn't want to actually do the work. Far from the kindly grandpa image he's tried to cultivate in recent years.

Kathleen's avatar

Agreed. Biden’s entire career (50 years!) was based on lies and corruption.

His only real accomplishment was enriching his family

Mystic William's avatar

There was a video clip of him sitting in a coffee shop in Middle America beside two bandana wearing bikers and a biker chick. He was flirting with the biker chick openly in front of presumably her boyfriend. The bikers were seething. It was distasteful. Not a chance in the world he would be doing that if he weren’t surrounded by five or six armed guards. Pure bully tactic.

Dena's avatar

Yes, watch the Clarence Thomas documentary “In my own words” & see a replay of the showdown. Thomas does not gloss over the Hill / Confirmation hearing. One of the best documentaries made.

Andrew Collins's avatar

Thanks - I'll check it out.

Why does no one ask who pushed Biden into a debate three or four months earlier than the usual timing of presidential debates? It’s like someone wanted to out him, but no interviewers that I have heard press this question. Those closest to him knew the truth, and still let him go out there when he didn’t need to.

Sally Sue's avatar

Definitely done on purpose. Debates never happen in June. It was deliberate. To out him so he could be replaced in time. Imagine if that disastrous debate had happened in August or September. There would have been a Trump Landslide.

Roberta L's avatar

He hadn’t died yet, as they expected him to have done. They had to get Kamala into office. That was their plan from the moment they had her drop her 2020 campaign.

Rascal Nick Of's avatar

If Tapper wanted to atone for his sins, he would resign. This is just another modified limited hangout. Apologies are just the beginning of what he should do.

Kathleen's avatar

Yes, and donate money from his book

Megyn Kelly gave a masterclass in what journalism and a true journalist operate as! It was splendid!

If you cheat on your spouse you have a choice whether to lie about it or not. When you cheat on your spouse and the evidence is all over national media and you lie about it, you just look like a fool. I could have had some respect for him if he’d said “ You know you’re right. I let my partisanship get in the way and that’s something we should never do and I deeply regret it and I know I did not deserve to get the rights to write a book about it.” Still would not have bought the book, but man would I have had some respect for him.

Buzz S's avatar

Megyn annihilates Tapper in, fittingly, a replay of Trump’s annihilation of Biden .

Emsrul's avatar

MK was masterful in nailing them both to a cross. They were completely discredited.

Kathleen's avatar

Megyn did a great job! She was tough, allowed no BS and her follow up questions kept Tapper on his guard

She is so smart and fearless!

Cheryl's avatar

Yes it’s a Great watch!!

W. A. Samuel's avatar

Unfortunately not much here that’s really news. I don’t wish terminal cancer on anyone, but if disclosure of Biden’s stage 4 condition helps tank sales of Tapper’s self-serving book then that would be something good.

Steve's avatar

I stopped about this 90 Min. in. Nothing of any consequences we didn't know, or Strongly Suspect.

Well, she is conservative and there has been a lot to call out with the progressives for years! I listen every day and she calls out plenty of other things, including Trump. She's a journalist podcaster and takes lots of risks, including have RFKJ two years ago when no one else would touch him.

Tappers body language said it all. He was in tbe Biden rank and now wants to come clean.. What a fraud, loser and a terrible journalist. I wouldn't use the pages of his book to line my birdcage.

Megyn did a great job grilling him.

Dena's avatar

Tapper is also stupid.

Lis's avatar

We keep waiting for the moment that changes things.

Laramie's avatar

Wow! Thanks for sharing that. I don't watch Megyn Kelly much. I think she's a lightweight. That interview did much to change my mind. Bravo for her!

Seva's avatar

Megyn always hits back at the anti-white fanaticism flourishing in this society. She’s far from being a “lightweight.”
