I see no reason to stand with Hamas or hesitate to stand with Israel. Hamas sought hand to hand combat with babies in day care and opportunities to gang rape and murder girls at a peace concert. Hamas killed over 1200 men, women and children, then took over 240 hostages, including some Americans. Then Hamas hid in 300 to 400 miles of tunnels, while providing no bomb shelters at all for their civilian population.
Under the laws of war, attacking military targets is legal, no matter how many civilian shields they're wrapped in. Hamas locates military targets in, near or under schools, hospitals and mosques. Then Hamas "health officials" multiply civilian casualties by 10 and report them to a gullible press. Don't buy into it.

One thing that everyone on both sides of the dispute has ignored or missed is that about 1/3 of the aid package for "Israel" (9/26) actually went to Hamas ,er humanitarian aid. I have seen nothing about how this is to be administered but the history of the USG, the UN and the various NGOs in such matters tells me there is no way that the primary beneficiary will be not be Hamas. So we are funding both sides but not our side (the border). When you fund both sides, the point is to keep the war going. I assume that the goal is to tie this war to yet another funding package for Ukraine. Worked like a charm the last time. I didn't mention it in my original post but Johnson added in a provision to confiscate frozen assets of private Russian citizens and give the money to Ukraine. Very bad precedent that could easily come back to bite US citizens, either via retaliation or worse the USG confiscating the assets of US citizens (401k?). This appears to have been his own initiative without prompting by Trump or even Biden.

It is not even clear that the Democrats wanted the confiscation of assets. Johnson's ploy was to avoid making Americans pay for Ukraine but Americans will pay in other ways. To pass legislation in the House requires 218 yeas. Johnson showed the rebellious bit of his caucus what happens when they grandstand in support of legislation that can't pass the Senate or get a Presidential signature. I can agree with you that the deaths of innocents are tragedies, no matter their ethnicity or religion. But I cannot agree that Israel is to blame for the tragedy, or that Israel is committing genocide.
The tragedy has been caused by Hamas deciding to commit atrocities that constitute war crimes, taking innocents hostage, and using their own children to shield them from the consequences of their actions. The supposed genocide would end tomorrow with the surrender of these criminals, and the release of any hostages they may have allowed to live. I doubt there are any left alive.
I have no hostility to Palestinians as an ethnic group. I condemn a culture that produces such profound hate that they use their own children for evil. They teach them that killing infidels is the highest value, and celebrate these murderers. I see no reason to stand with Hamas or hesitate to stand with Israel. Hamas sought hand to hand combat with babies in day care and opportunities to gang rape and murder girls at a peace concert. Hamas killed over 1200 men, women and children, then took over 240 hostages, including some Americans. Then Hamas hid in 300 to 400 miles of tunnels, while providing no bomb shelters at all for their civilian population.
Under the laws of war, attacking military targets is legal, no matter how many civilian shields they're wrapped in. Hamas locates military targets in, near or under schools, hospitals and mosques. Then Hamas "health officials" multiply civilian casualties by 10 and report them to a gullible press. Don't buy into it.

One thing that everyone on both sides of the dispute has ignored or missed is that about 1/3 of the aid package for "Israel" (9/26) actually went to Hamas ,er humanitarian aid. I have seen nothing about how this is to be administered but the history of the USG, the UN and the various NGOs in such matters tells me there is no way that the primary beneficiary will be not be Hamas. So we are funding both sides but not our side (the border). When you fund both sides, the point is to keep the war going. I didn't mention it in my original post but Johnson added in a provision to confiscate frozen assets of private Russian citizens and give the money to Ukraine. Very bad precedent that could easily come back to bite US citizens, either via retaliation or worse the USG confiscating the assets of US citizens (401k?). This appears to have been his own initiative without prompting by Trump or even Biden.

Unfortunately, it is not just the executive branch or the Democrats who have been corrupted. Our legislative branch is no longer functional. They not only no longer write the legislation they pass (a function long ago given over to lobbyists) they now no longer even have time to read the legislation they pass. The concerns of the people -- out of control illegal immigration and inflation caused by runaway spending -- are completely ignored in favor of more money to Ukrainian oligarchs and more authority to spy on Americans.

I can agree with you that the deaths of innocents are tragedies, no matter their ethnicity or religion. But I cannot agree that Israel is to blame for the tragedy, or that Israel is committing genocide.
The tragedy has been caused by Hamas deciding to commit atrocities that constitute war crimes, taking innocents hostage, and using their own children to shield them from the consequences of their actions. The supposed genocide would end tomorrow with the surrender of these criminals, and the release of any hostages they may have allowed to live. I doubt there are any left alive.
I have no hostility to Palestinians as an ethnic group. I condemn a culture that produces such profound hate that they use their own children for evil. They teach them that killing infidels is the highest value, and celebrate these murderers. They use their own children both to shield themselves, and as a tool to manipulate the sympathy of decent people around the world.
Won’t you join me in calling out the people who have perpetrated such evil, and call for their immediate surrender?
