Sasha, your writing has been a source of encouragement and sadness for seeing what has become of our country. It is people like you that makes the world more bearable even though we don't agree on everything. It's refreshing to remain civil with each other and find common ground on many fronts. I hope that your Thanksgiving visit with your daughter's new family goes smoothly

God Bless you!

Your comment about sitting at a long table and breaking bread with us reminds me of the age old question, “If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be?” The answers were always people like Winston Churchill, Gandhi, JFK, Neil Armstrong and many many others who have been so prominent in our lives and in the growth of our world.

But I have to honestly say, if asked that question today, my answer would be along the lines of: Sasha Stone, Glenn Greenwald, Chris Bray, and some of the others who are holding the candles that are helping us find our way in these darkest of times.

Thanks to you all and...Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful that they "invite us for dinner" all the time. The gifted writers with the ability and courage to look, see, think, process and then create and share. It is the true Thanksgiving ethos and a nourishing feast for the soul. It is the food of the second enlightenment.
