Keep on keeping on! Courage is so rare these days. We get to see it from time too time in very unexpected places. Thank you for doing your work and for putting up with the backlash. It's to our benefit. Be well.

Sasha, when in doubt refer to your own sign-off: "To thine own self be true." If you can do that, the rest will take care of itself.

Yes... all coelomic creatures (Nematoda on up) have assholes ;-). So even earthworms and slugs and other politicians

It's just the dark side of the internet and totally undeserved. You do a great job and offer a unique and nuanced perspective. It speaks volumes about the sender (clearly a jerk to put it somewhat kindly) and nothing about you. However, I get it. It's sent to you and hard to not take it personally. But I hope you'll continue offering what you do and do so well.

I had no idea that I was one of the smartest two thousand people to support you with money. You're doing a good job and I think your point of view is valuable.

I will support Sasha with a paid subscription as long as she chooses to write and as long as I can afford. Love you, girl!

I've made this comment a number of times on your posts, and besides appreciating your posts and takes, I also say it because I wish someone would say it to me (besides my mother): Keep going, Sasha. I have been called terrible things too for the things I written, argued, and said in some TV interviews (I also received death and rape threats). I am sure if my blog had your audience numbers, I would be called terrible things all the time (thankfully I don't have a comment section, so that helps). Years ago, a computer "genius" hacker guy told me to remember that most of those vicious comments come from bots. They're not real, or they are paid to attack dissentors. That was in 2018. We're in the future now and nothing is real.

I love your writings. If you never receive any criticisms--even from the unhinged loonies--then you're doing something wrong!

I have sung your praises many times before so I will refrain from stating how well you connect all of us with reality. The upside of having idiots and no class individuals shrinking at you online is that you can hit delete. Lot easier than dealing with it person. Of course, most of them would not have the guts to say it face to face. If they acted that way as a matter of course in a group, they would be ostracized and eventually gone.

Don't dignify them with a response or even a thought.

When I was in my 20's or 30's, I would have let those people get under my skin. I would either be spitting mad or have my feelings hurt or be anxious. For whatever reason, in my 40's, I feel either nothing at all, irritated that someone is wasting my time, pity, or amusement. If words didn't matter, they would have no reaction at all which would mean invisibility. So, I'm happy you got your taxes filed. Can't wait for whatever you do next.

Sasha, every time someone drops an f-bomb on you, it means that you have won! It means the crazy person is out of ideas. They’re basically saying, I got nothin’.

You, on the other hand, are full of ideas and are not afraid to state them. Meaning you have intelligence and bravery.

Full speed ahead as a Happy Warrior!

It is commonly what happens when indigenous creatures are startled and seek protection by using blather and false bravado. Most are quite harmless as their intellect falls short of what is needed to carry on a conversation.

I'm sorry you have to receive garbage like that. The anonymity of the internet has (somehow) convinced some folks that defaulting to derogatory name-calling is the new normal. It is a trial and far too common (in my long-ago childhood [1960s], a not uncommon response would have been a knuckle sandwich). For what it's worth, I look forward to your thoughts on our current transition into the next American epoch, along with your reflections on your life journey.
