My first thought when I heard the announcement yesterday is it was spin to deflect from the Tapper book and others to come that put Biden in a bad light. This press release from yesterday was probably orchestrated by Jill Biden, who is trying to protect the brand for her own personal gain. Nothing like a little cancer to gain some sympathy. He has probably been diagnosed with it for months and already under hormone treatments. It was kept quiet when that served the family. But Jill had this announcement in her back pocket to deflect from her own horrible judgement and obvious elder-abuse. Well done "doctor" Jill!

It's just been an avalanche of lie after lie after lie, couched in hoaxes and deceptions by the DNC and DNC-Media for ten years now. I am so sick and tired of this. There has got to be a way of legally sanctioning these villains. This cannot be our lives.

For one, DOJ must indict and prosecute Garland for contempt of Congress. He refused to turn over the subpoenaed Hur tapes. Holder got away with the same crime over Fast & Furious, but Navarro and Bannon did not. They served jail time. Garland must serve jail time.

Two, Congress must pass a law the makes it a crime for a federal official, elected or unelected, to commit fraud on the people. We have a law (18 U.S. Code § 371 ) in the reverse which Manafort and other Trump associates have been prosecuted and jailed for.

Three, Democratic and Republican members need to hold their corrupt leaders accountable and not just at the ballot box, but by running these assholes out of business and probably out of town, too. I recommend forcing them to run a gauntlet of irate citizens outfitted with switches, down the Capitol steps, out Pennsylvania Avenue, and into the Potomac River and told to never, EVER, return to public life.

The GOP has acted shamefully in the past, but the Clinton-Obama-Biden DNC and their co-conspirators in news & entertainment media are the penultimate corrupt, rotten, no-good, fucking jerks... cannot hate them enough. I don't want to hurt them, but I never want to see or hear from them ever again. They've been the most destructive, toxic force our country has been forced to endure since its founding. God damn them all to Hell. Sorry for the profanity, but Jeez, I'm pissed about this.

Talk about coruption. You are utterly blind to trump taking every opportunity and constantly devising new ways to enrich himself and his family. Well, right wing media ignores anything that shows trump in a bad light. "A contest of sorts has played out across Europe, the United States and the Middle East in recent days as President Trump’s two older sons have pursued a blitz of family moneymaking ventures capitalizing on their father’s name and power, each seemingly trying to outdo the other.

It is a rush to cash in that involves billions of dollars with few precedents in American history.

A luxury hotel in Dubai. A second high-end residential tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Two cryptocurrency ventures based in the United States. A new golf course and villa complex in Qatar. And a new private club in Washington. In many cases these new deals promoted over the last week will personally benefit not only Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., but also President Trump himself." The club in DC, the " Executive Branch" cost $.5M to join and gives members a chance to hob not with cabinet members & other trump officials. The Trump family is offering a private dinner at the White House—which is owned by the American taxpayers—to the winner of an auction for their $TRUMP cryptocurrency.

I think you long ago got to the point known as "blinded by hate". You seem to routinely engage in Reverse Engineering in order to justify hate, indicating a desideratum. Though my mother was certainly a very problematic person, she did, like Tolkien has Saruman say about Gandalf, have her own "store of wisdom", once saying to me something like "Hate does more harm to the hater than the hated". Or as my fellow Texan Don Henly once said/sang "You keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside". My first impression is that Donald Trump was an obnoxious jerk with good common sense. In the years since then, I have seen no reason to retreat from that.

Random note: the element "saru-" in "Saruman" is a Celtic word meaning "craft" or "skill". An equally petty form of enlightenment is that Celtic geographic names in Britain often have a Celtic word followed by its Germanic equivalent, as in the "calibur(n" in "(Ex)calibur" going back to "stream-stream". Somebody must have misread "he got his sword out of calibur(n)" as "he got his sword "Excalibur".

My first impression of trump is that he was a conman and a ignorant buffoon. "In the years since then, I have seen no reason to retreat from that." I think he is trying to establish a dictatorship by 2028. And I think he has some truly evil people in his entourage, especially Stephen Miller who is one of his chief strategists, trying to turn Civil Rights backwards to claim white people (who have all the power and wealth in the US) are the main victims of discrimination. He must be doing a happy dance that he pulled off getting white S. African "refugees" admitted to the US while expelling thousands of black and brown people; he even wants to "denaturalize" ones that are already citizens. I think Hegseth is evil also, an incompetent drunken rapist who is trying to whitewash the Pentagon database, even eliminating black medal of honor winners.

Over the years, I have read many, many hateful right wing posts about Biden & democrats, and my comments are mild compared to those.

The cancer reveal is to ‘help’ explain the autopen. Trump & Co. are likely turning up the burners on this and D’s are scrambling for an explanation.

Expand full comment
Brian M's avatar

Not sure how the cancer story helps with the autopen situation. But you are correct, the autopen is a real disaster for the Biden team and the Dems since it is likely it was used to sign most legislation and EOs without the awareness / knowledge of the elected President. That makes all those EOs, pardons and such, null and void and also raises legal issues for those who signed the docs without the elected authority, basically impersonation of a President or forgery, take your pick. I guarantee Bondi's legal team is investigating it and might even be subpoenaing those in the know.

Expand full comment
Matt L.'s avatar

Here’s a theory (unsubstantiated). If the autopen investigation gets to a critical stage, couldn’t Team Biden reveal that actually Joe was undergoing chemo treatments and you know, those cause ‘brain fog’, so the autopen was just to carry out his will while he was undergoing cancer treatment.

Yes. That is what is supposed to happen. But the 25th Amendment was ignored by those around Biden. We likely just lived through an ad hoc 46th presidency? Biden himself was a mere pawn to a higher level of power. Who used him, and the "Basement Strategy" to use a puppet leader as the face of a hidden cabal that actually ran our government. An unelected cabal. This happened. This isn't conjecture, this isn't conspiracy theory. We all just lived through it.

Senile, addled, and cancer ridden, a puppet for hidden interests.

Will anyone bother to try to find out who was behind this? Who the real powers were running the nation? Biden, as patsy, allowed them to govern further Left than anyone in the public would have ever voted for. It allowed for open borders.

At this point if you truly believe the 2020 election wasn't rigged, you are but a fool. One who deserves such subterfuge and lies, right in your face.

83 million votes for Biden proves the rigging, beyond any reasonable doubt. Obama and Clinton each got 63 million. The cancer story is bullshit, and a smokescreen to deflect from all the books coming out, telling the public what many of us have know for years. Prostate cancer doesn't just 'show up' as it's an extremely slow growing cancer that's easily detected as part of routine annual physicals. This is just more of the same ridiculous alternative reality that we've experienced over the past four years, and actually, going back to the Obama Presidency.

It won't stand.

It's not any cancer, it's prostate cancer which is very slow growing, easily tested during an annual physical with a PSA test (that has only 15% probability of missing it) and takes years to spread to the bones.

For a US President getting the best health care in the world, it's just impossible to believe this wasn't known years ago.

Expand full comment
Margaret G's avatar

Please be aware that the PSA test is notoriously unreliable - see https://unbekoming.substack.com/p/the-great-prostate-hoax for a full analysis. I worked for a testing lab for 13 years that used to include PSA with a men's health panel. We stopped doing the PSA as it caused more problems than it solved. It is not specific for prostate cancer and a positive test can lead to unnecessary procedures. The rectal exam would have picked up the cancer much earlier, before it metastasized. The bone metastases on their own would have been harder to detect. An old friend of mine, who never went to the doctor for routine tests, was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer; the very first symptom was that he broke his femur during a fall off a ladder. The bone metastases had weakened his bones. He started treatment for the prostate cancer but it was already too late and he passed away a year later.

Expand full comment
Les Vitailles's avatar

The PSA test is unreliable because it gives many false positives: claiming cancer when there really isn't any, so people undergo biopsies and other procedures for no reason.

But the PSA test has only a 15% chance of false negatives, not detecting a cancer when it does exist. That alone would have made it less likely that prostrate cancer would have been undetected.

I delayed taking the PSA test for years because of its false positive rate but changed my mind because I'd rather risk that than not detecting a real case.
