Hope you heal quickly Sasha. Great photo, only marred by those unsightly, bird-killing wind turbines.

Yeah, wind turbines, another liberal Bad Idea.

Beautiful picture and thank you for sharing. Too bad someone wasted all that money on those ugly wind turbines.

They are a blight on the land! Ugh.

Don't forget the whale killing off shore turbines, ugh.

Sharon Michael's avatar

Yes, and they kill birds and insects as well. The whole wind farm thing is just a scam with expensive turbines that produce very little electricity and cannot be recycled when they break down.

800,000 pounds of steel in each one... and they spend most of their time not turning.

Yes, indeed, and thousands of trees have been cut down to make room for these monstrosities.

My calzone restaurant is two miles off I80 in Iowa City. Calzones on me if you need a lunch break. AND, we're dog friendly.

Safe travels!

I'll be going through Iowa City Friday. I drive to Wyoming three times a year. I sometimes stop at Scheels. Where are you in relation to that shopping center?

MOMinator's avatar

What is your restaurant called? I’m an Iowa grad :) waaay back lol

Glad to hear your doing well. Driving through flyover land can be a revelation...I run an AM school bus route out here, and one of my favorite things is watching the sun come up over Nebraska farmland. Beauty feeds the soul.

Not even your photo skills can make wind turbines “nice”.

Lovely.

God sent a smile your way.

That was the sight that greeted me as I was being wheeled to the ER for heart surgery several months ago. Though terrified as I was going to surgery, I felt at that moment that everything would be OK.

Wow. Beautiful photo

Sasha,

Safe driving through the heartland. I’ve driven Kansas and Nebraska east/west a few times, and there is plenty of time to be with your thoughts on either route.

Incredible photo! I took a picture of your picture - love those kind of stark rural scenes, dressed up by the full rainbow over the road ahead —-> perfect!

Wow! What a sign of resurrection from the American ❤️land! Sending you healing energy Sasha.

Great pic - looks like just north of me. I have to say... those useless wind turbines are a stain on society. Around us the 'power companies' - your tax money - are raping our fertile farmland with toxic solar panels.

As an engineer it is very hard for me to look at completely inefficient machines that really do nothing except enrich a relative handful of people who have payed off government people.

Glad your hand is ok.

The rainbow is a sign. A good sign!

Yes - we need to take our rainbow back!

Take care of yourself when you change the bandage use Benadine on it. It may make your hand a little orange, but it will knock out any infection … prayers your way
