I felt like I was trapped in the wrong body, too. I was born with spina bifida. But it’s the one I was given and it was either accept it or be miserable. My parents were given the option for euthanasia. They denied that with a vengeance. I just turned 60. 62 surgeries later. Every one of them necessary. Most would never know I have spina bifida. None of the surgeries I have had change the fact that I do.

My brother committed suicide in the late nineties due to his ruined health from the AIDS virus which caused nerve damage leading to chronic pain plus cancer, trigeminal neuralgia, Bell’s palsy and other afflictions. He got barbitudes from a gay nurse. I’m a big believer in euthanasia though for people that far gone. His situation was truly hopeless.

Jim Ryser's avatar

I’m so sorry for his pain and your loss. I struggle still with euthanasia but honestly feel it’s the person considering euthanasia’s decision only. I personally am glad I’ve lived - a life many would envy (not saying this in a bragging way, just a statement). I’m loving life more now than ever and am glad I’ve gotten here. But I’d never judge someone for making that decision.

There is a grey zone of assisted suicide that is very uncomfortable for both parties to accept. It's taken over its boundaries by liberals and conservatives and I don't feel either party once its power treats it fairly since there is very valid debates that need to be had.

Yes, it is I have seen the suffering when people that want to end their life can't because they can't get a clean death. This "Christain" good pain good death is just as toxic as your mentioned post. I am sick of fucking bull shit extreme from both ideologies and never moving an inch.

My brother was on hospice care when he was dying plus he didn’t really have any fear of dying since he was very religious and believed there was something for him after death and there was only pain and suffering for him here.

I always think about people with serious handicaps when the “born in the wrong body” theme comes up. If anyone might feel like they have the wrong body it would be someone with extra ordinary challenges. It makes me crazy. I have a nephew with a serious handicapping condition and I worry about how he feels when this issue comes up. God makes no mistakes, even when we don’t understand. He’s a remarkable young man that is in high school now. He has many friends, is well liked by his peers, and our family loves him dearly.

I absolutely agree with ur response. I bet your nephew will appreciate your bringing it up at some point! I honestly would not trade any of my life - even the rough stuff - bc it’s been really really good. I guess I would reword that in God’s eyes I was given the right body. It honors God to stand up to the challenge!

Thanks A. I thank the universe daily that my parents chose life for me and - even in the throes of addiction to (yep) pain meds, I did not have the courage to end my life. I have the utmost respect for Seva’s brother for that exact reason and why judgement has no place in my world; courage is fear that has said its prayers.

I’m surprised that gender madness is the hill that Democrats have decided to die on. I continue to hear it described as an 80/20 issue, with only 20% of the population supporting the craziness of it. But the democrats have never had logic or intelligence on their side.

It's not 'trans' per se. Thats the proxy. Its a war on our cognition, psychology, and philosophy. LITERALLY Room 101, played out in real time, right out in the open. All the Critical Theory stuff is EXACTLY this, designed to pervert and destroy any semblance of rationality, values, morality, and ethics. Its not an accident that our most fundamental institutions have been infected.

Lady Mariposa's avatar

Exactly. And the more irrational the assertion the better it is for that purpose.

It's important to understand that the progressives don't care about trans people, they don't care about minorities, they don't care about women and they don't care about the climate. All they care about is their revolution and all the named causes are only smoke screens at best and a means of dismantling the culture.

I also suspect that "trans" is the camel's nose under the tent for transhumanism.

I’ve stopped using or accepting the notion of ‘gender’ when it comes to men and women spaces, such as bathrooms, locker rooms, playing court or field. Sex refers to your immutable biological anatomy and chromosome make up. It’s God given. Gender is a socially constructed role, behavior, identity. That is human given. I choose God over humans.

For leftists, the issue is never the issue (David Horowitz explains in his books). It is always about their revolution. They don't care about environment, 'refugees', minorities, or any of things they cosplay about. It's always about increasing their power through criminal graft, exploitation, demoralization & destruction of rights, freedoms & liberty of the individual under some nice sounding pretense.

The Leftist aim is not identify social wrongs, and then right them. That is what Liberals do. Leftists see every social wrong as a scab to be pulled, a wound to be aggravated, not healed, a contradiction to be exacerbated, not resolved. All in the name of an unspecified "rebolution."

I was a Tom Boy for sure. Once I hit puberty I was all girl. So glad I grew up at a time where they didn’t warp the mind with all this gender nonsense. I can’t imagine navigating through all this. The confusion, and propaganda. This is strait up child abuse. A trail of mutilation and destruction. God hell us all.

I was (still am!) a tomboy as well. Plus grew up in a culture that automatically assigned a ton of honor and prestige to anyone with a penis, while simultaneously relegating women to second-class and thankless crap detail. If ever there was anyone who would have been vulnerable to today’s current gender ideology brainwashing, it would have been me. I’m so thankful I grew up when I did.

Excellent video. To me, we all need to remember God made man and woman, two sexes, not genders. The idea of gender identity is a construct to minimize our Heavenly Father’s creation and to minimize the family unit. These young people being confused about ‘gender’ is the result of being indoctrinated by the teachers union & educational institutions, physicians & therapists being forced to follow these outrageous guidelines by AMA, and parents abusing their own children by pushing these trans/gender affirming practices over the future life of their child. Mutilation of a healthy child’s body and hormone blockers that will weaken the body’s bone structure will cause these children a lifetime of health problems resulting in pain and suffering. This whole trans movement is a social contagion rushing many to a life without the possibility of being able to have children or even enjoy sexual pleasure. Truly a sad future awaits with many questioning their parents’ intentions. I hope many will proceed to sue the doctors and medical professionals who rushed them into life altering surgeries.

This is what happens when you reject god. God made us in his image and he didn’t make a mistake. These people are sick and mentally unstable that we would allow them to mutilate children is the definition of evil and all that have allowed this evil to go unchecked need to be punished. If you’re a 42 yr male and you want to mutilate your self and pay for it with your own money go for it. No coverage ever from any health insurance ever. None of us should ever have to share the costs of their sickness.

Yes it is a mental illness just like anorexia or body dysmorphia which my 80 yo Aunt has. She looks like a scarecrow and refuses to get help. Meanwhile her organs are shutting down and her husband wants us to pretend she is normal and not discuss this with her. It has wrecked our family and ruined our relationship which for over 30 years was ok. I refuse to play this game or any game of pretend you can transition to the opposite sex.

I think years from now we will look upon this moment as another occurrence of mass hysteria and we will be horrified that we let things get this bad.

There is a perfect storm of variables that make young girls particularly vulnerable to the trans ideology. There is the decline in traditional religion, which gave a sense of transcendent meaning; the rise of feminism, which has had the perverse effect of emphasizing typically masculine traits over feminine ones; the elevation of "tolerance" as the most important virtue, even above honesty; the invention of smart phones, which give constant access to social media and are the perfect mechanism for spreading an ideological contagion; and the rise of big Pharma that benefits financially from "gender affirming care". When all these factors come together and hit young girls going through puberty, which is often a challenge to even the most well-adjusted girls, you have rapid onset gender dysphoria.

I think there will be enough lawsuits brought by de-transitioners to blow this whole sordid episode up. But what a heavy price we will have paid.

This is by far the most amazing video I’ve ever seen where Jeffrey Sachs is explaining to the EU Parliament that they’re just vassal states of America’s ruling class which has led them into a disastrous war with Russia which has destroyed Ukraine and also led them into supporting what Israel is doing to the Palestinians in the Middle East. Jeffrey Sachs is well known and respected globally as are John Mearsheimer and Glenn Greenwald who very much agree with everything he’s saying here. Just consider the fact that not only foreign governments but even ordinary people globally watch things like this just as easily as we do.

Of late I have discovered a new Favorite word...WHY(?). Why, did this or that happen?

What is interesting is Germany was one of The Least Anti-Semitic countries in Europe. German Jews were really assimilated into German society/culture. As Eric Metaxis writes in his Bonhoeffer book an Letter To he American Church, by the time Germans realized what was going on It was To Late.
