I loved this. You are a lovely person, Sasha.

Good story, an outline expandable to a screenplay....a story with a redeeming, happy ending.

...but just SO incredibly sad that there are millions upon millions of 'Janets' out there. How did this happen, how so deceived, how did they arrive to this point? What an incredibly different world they live in that gave them this mindset. This story prompts me to pray for these people...that they all have the same awakening that Janet did, that SashaStone did. That they can be HAPPY and actually realize the benefits of the Trump Admin, and that they walk in 'truth' and be discerning of the lies.

Yes, we may be in pain because a cherished friend has dumped us because we didn't hate Trump, but those opposing us are also in pain because they have been deceived and actually believe the lies that they have been told.

The problem with forgiveness and support: It is very hard to sympathize with someone who has 0 thought of ever changing. It's like commiserating with a narcissist. "I was deceived" will never be uttered by all the new "cancer patients."

Relationship based ethics. Their power, in so many ways, has vanished. Power never gives up power peacefully.

I doubt SNL will pick it up for a skit. They don't want to do anything funny and ruin their reputation.

My sentiments exactly. I couldn't have said it better.

A beautiful two-part story wonderfully read in your affecting voice Sasha; it almost made me cry - which a number of your posts have succeeded in doing. I'm glad to hear that you have found such meaning in your Substack writings and offerings and in interactions with your readers. Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving, we've a lot to be grateful for. Has anyone else considered that had the Dems not stolen the 2020 election, then Covid would have disrailed Trump's 2nd term. It was the lies and toletarian overreach of that time that finally opened my eyes, as I'm sure it did for a lot of people. Trump's 2nd term will be stronger for all that he and the people who support him learned during the last 4 years.

We have a lot to be thankful for.

A beautiful way to get past the pain and move on in sync with the rest of the world. Joy was her mantra and she brought heartache. You see how the country has turned to real joy since Trump got elected! Join the joy!

Real joy? You're misinformed.

Real joy. Real hope. Real.

@Gilbert Garcia. And you are sadly pathetic.

Sasha, you have so many talents. This was a joy to read, and a welcome break from the drum beat of headline nominations. Loved the dialoge especially. Happy Thanksgiving.

There are a lot of Janet’s out there I hope they can get some help because a lot of them are in need of something that an election is not going to give them

I found Substack 4 years ago and my first stack was you, Sasha Stone. What a long strange (and wonderful) trip it’s been! So glad I’m here to grow right alongside you. Enjoy the warmth of your daughter’s laugh and hugs all feast-week long.
